Frequently asked questions
Are the tools free?
Yes. You do not need an account and you do not need a server with us.
Do my image and text get sent to your servers?
No. The tools run in your browser, so your image and text never leave your device.
Do the tools work for Java and Bedrock?
The MOTD generator and the server icon are made for Java Edition. Most color codes also work in Bedrock; the differences are listed with the color codes.
Where do my MOTD and icon go?
Into your server folder: the MOTD in server.properties and the icon as server-icon.png. At CakeHosting you do that in the game panel.
No server yet?
Rent a Minecraft server and try your MOTD and icon straight away.
