How to add the icon to your server

Step 1: Download your icon
You get a file called server-icon.png, 64 by 64 pixels.

Step 2: Put it on your server
Upload it to the main folder of your server, next to server.properties. In the game panel you do that under Files, or use SFTP.

Step 3: Restart your server
After a restart your icon shows up in the server list. Refresh the list in Minecraft.

Frequently asked questions
What size should a server icon be?
Exactly 64 by 64 pixels, as a PNG named server-icon.png, in the main folder of your server. Without an icon, Minecraft shows a grey default picture.
My icon does not show up. What now?
Check that the file is called exactly server-icon.png (lower case, with a hyphen), that it is a real PNG and not a renamed JPG, and that it sits in the same folder as server.properties. Then restart your server and refresh the server list.
Can I use an animated icon?
No, the server list shows a still image. If you pick a GIF, the maker uses its first frame.
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. The maker runs entirely in your browser. Your image never leaves your device, not even to us.
Can I use any picture?
Use your own logo or an image you have the right to use. A picture you found online is not automatically free to use.
