Frequently asked questions

How much does a Minecraft server cost at CakeHosting?

A Minecraft Java server starts at €4.95 a month, Bedrock at €2.95. The price depends on the memory and whether you pick Standard or Premium. All plans are on Minecraft server hosting.

Which games can I host with you?

Minecraft Java and Bedrock, plus 22 other games such as Valheim, Palworld, Rust and Terraria. The full list is on Game servers.

How much memory do I need?

For a few friends on Paper, our smallest Java plan is usually enough. Lots of players, plugins or a modpack need more. The server size calculator gives tailored advice.

Why pay when Aternos is free?

Aternos is fine for trying things out, but you wait in a queue and your server goes to sleep as soon as nobody is playing. With us your server stays on day and night and you add your own plugins and modpacks. More in Aternos alternative: when is a paid server worth it?

Can I cancel any month?

Yes. You pay monthly and cancel in My CakeHosting. Your server keeps running until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Is CakeHosting the same company as before?

Same brand, different owner. The previous owners closed it on 6 September 2024; in 2026 Space-Node took over the brand. Old accounts and data were not transferred. More on About us.
