What is a VPS, and do you need one?

A VPS gives you your own virtual server with fixed computing power, memory and storage. You install the operating system and the software, and you keep everything up to date. That gives you a lot of freedom, but also more work.

If you mainly want to run a game server or a Discord bot, you don’t need a VPS: a game server or bot plan comes ready to use in the game panel, and we look after the server.

What is the difference between a VPS and a game server?

A game server comes ready for one game and you manage it in the game panel. A VPS is an empty server that you install and maintain yourself. That gives more freedom, but also more work.

Can I reserve a VPS?

Reservations are not possible. Let us know what you are looking for and we will help you find an alternative.

Is a dedicated server an alternative?

For bigger projects, yes. A dedicated server is a whole physical server just for you. You request a proposal through the request form.
